What is the Apple TV box? The Apple TV box is a set top device that enable users to stream videos, music, iTunes, pictures from your computer and file folder from your computer and more.

Apple TV – 2G – 2nd Generation
Now the fall 2010 debut of the Apple TV box has entered into several innovations in the design of the technology video streaming box.
One major thing that was done was the footprint was made smaller. A sharply smaller designed box and ergonomic rounded features on the apple device.
The unit no longer has a hard drive, the Apple TV is a streaming affair. Rental only subset of streaming only shows like fox, iTunes and others.

The interactive design and menus are very pleasing to the user experience.
TV shows and movies from either the iPod or your iTunes account, or your computer are simple to start. No more DVD rentals, or messing with TV cables and interface boxes.
The iPad like function in a mobile device, can be taken anywhere internet is available and your library is instantly viewable.
Airplay is a nice feature as well.

You can also purchase shows and movies, music right from your apple device and your existing iTunes account, how easy is that!
Netflix and Apple TV – You can also hook right into your Netflix account and watch everything on demand, or instant watch (watch instantly) from this box.
The user interface is perfect as well, watch videos, watch movies, listen to music and more from your netflic account, and many other channels on the new Apple TV device.
It’s great to finally have Netflix on the apple device, and have all of the show I’m used to. Hey I also love these Apple TV Hulu Rumors – Apple Inc that swirl around the internet and facebook forum.
The animated menus are great as well. Youtube video, hulu, podcasts, and many other streaming video sites on the internet.
The outputs, HDMI, audio and other HDTV devices. Wi-fi and wired ethernet are featured.
The quality and viewer experience is nice here, the 720p output is superb easy and simple to setup The interface is elegant, rather than the Roku slimmed down design.
The remote is not needed to be line of sight as well, a nice feature.
The Roku box now has a bluetooth remote, similar to the Apple TV box. The new box, the 2nd gen, is only $99.00 half the price of the original device.
The second generation is a major step up and resemble the mac mini box. The 802.11 wifi with hdmi output is perfect.
It does not come with an hdmi cable, but the power cord the setup guide and all of the packing that the box comes with is elegant apple of course.
The ports: HDMI, optical audio and, ethernet cable port, and a mini usb port and power supply. The matte finish and the apple tv logo is nice, like 
the mac mini box.
A big improvement from the 1G box, including the price, but the size and features of the 2G.

The results are very nice simple to install and setup, hooking it up to your TV is easy.
The simple menu setups have to use the remote, connect to your wifi network along with your code.
Your computer network with homesharing is nice feature all built-in to the Apple TV. The Apple TV 2g and the Apple TV 1g able to have streaming videos, stream movies apple and have iTunes streaming like an apple television entertainment center in your home!
